facebookOne of the most compelling and alarming issues on the Internet, when it comes to using social services such Facebook, it’s called… privacy. In fact, people using such services, tend to write a little too much on their personal profile. The downside of this activity is that Search Engines such as Google and Yahoo! index all this information, thus making  it available online to thousands of people. Let’s see how to prevent and remove search engines from crawling your private pages on Facebook.

  1. Log-in Facebook.
  2. Now, go to Account and Privacy Settings.
  3. Click Search – Control who can see your search results on Facebook and Search Engines. (the forth link on the list).
  4. Untick Public Search Results.
  5. A window will appear, prompting you to confirm the new settings.
  6. Click Confirm.
  7. Done!
