windows 7Windows operating systems let you create accounts with different privileges. In fact, you can create an admin account or a user account, for example. Normally, an administrator can only delete an account without any chance for him to temporarily turn it off or disable. Here is a quick trick which will allow you to turn off and disable a user account. This is extremely useful if you plan to reactivate it in the future.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Go to System Security – Administrative Tools and click Computer Management.
  4. Click Local Users and Groups.
  5. Click the User section.
  6. Right-click on the user account you wish to turn it off and click Priperties.
  7. Under the General tab, tick the Account is disabled box.
  8. Click OK.
