One of the most useful utilities available on Web browsers is the ability to store  usernames and passwords so that, next time you will have to fill in a form, sign-in your email account, access your bank data etc, you won’t have to do anything because your browser will fill in all the fields  with the proper information. But what happen when you lose or don’t remember this precious information? Passwords are always masked by dots…so let’s see how to retrieve and recover your account info from your brower (Opera browser or Internet Explorer) in case you have forgotten them.

OperaPassView is a small tool which is able to “decrypts the content of the Opera Web browser password file (wand.dat) and displays the list of all Web site passwords stored in this file.” Thanks to this software you will be able to select one or more usernames and passwords, copy them to the clipboard and save it as text/html/csv/xml file. This utility is compatible with all Windows versions staring from Windows 2000.
