sp1As you know Windows 7 SP1 (Service Pack 1) was leaked on the Internet a couple of days ago. This time I am not going to post the links where you will be able to get it, since last year some of my readers cursed me after I published an article which let you download some  leaked Service Pack versions. They installed the package and (of course) they faced a lot of issues. Every time a leaked SP comes out I always, always warn you guys that it may be quite dangerous to install it and that you are going to put it on your machine at your own risk! So, just in case your machine, after installing the leaked Windows 7 SP1 built 6.1.7227.0.winmain _sp.090602 -2110, is facing some issue such as missing DVD drive, Documents folders, etc here is the quick procedure to uninstall it for good!

  1. Click the Start icon.
  2. In the Search field, type Windows Update and hit Enter.
  3. The Windows update window will appear on your screen. On the left pane click Installed Updates link.
  4. you should face a list containing all the updates you have installed on your computer. You should also see the SP1.
  5. Right click the entry marked as SP1 .
  6. From the menu click Uninstall.
  7. A new window will appear asking you to confirm what you are about to do. Click Yes.
  8. After the procedure is over, reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
  9. After the computer turns on you will notice that it will take more time to reboot. That’s quite normal. It is only finishing some uninstalling procedures. Next time it will take less time!
  10. Done!
