videowikipedia

Wikipedia is the biggest, free encyclopedia available online, built with the help of thousands of Internet users. However, one of its most annoying limits is the lack of videos.  An interesting website and a Firefox addon are going to solve this issue letting you upload whatever video you want on Wikipedia.

Videoonwikipedia.org is a great website which aims to tech you how to add videos in your articles on Wikipedia. Videos need to have a special format called “ogg theora”.  They also have to be  lightweight (under 100MB), carefully composed, and definitely encyclopedic. The website contains a very informative tutorial which will tech you, step-by-step what you have to do to achive this result

If you don’t know how to convert your video to “ogg theora” format, download this plugin, called Firefogg, for Firefox.
