internet explorerLately, Microsoft is trying hard to make its famous Internet Explorer browser safer and faster. That’s why you should be constantly looking and check  for hotfixes which, apart patching important security holes, are also able to make your Microsoft Internet browser more performing. What follows is a nice, simple tutorial which will tech you how to check for updates and keep Internet Explorer always up-to-date!

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to this web address: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
  3. If you have an old Internet Explorer version on your computer, on the web page above you will be able to download the latest version.
  4. Now, your Internet Explorer bar, click Tool.
  5. Now click Windows Update. This will let you download all the most important hotfixes for your Operating System, including Internet Explorer!
  6. If you can not find the Windows Update link,  click Security in your Internet Explorer toolbar. The link should be right there.
  7. If instead you are interested in downloading the updates and hotfixes for Internet Explorer only, click this Microsoft page.
  8. On the main page, on the left sidebar, click Downloads and Updates.
