If you use Google Search often, you should have noticed that it shows you a new sidebar on the left of its pages, randomly. Such a sidebar contains interesting options to search among images, news, blog or to search the latest 24h, past week etc. If you like the old, good Google interface, there is a nice add-on for Google Chrome able to remove and turn it off in one click!

Hide Google Option is a free add-on for Chrome which: “lets you turn on and off the left-hand column of search options if your search results pages have a permanent three-column display.”

“Google is testing a three-column search user interface, and for a small percentage of users, Google options in search results are not collapsible. If your Google search results are served in a three-column user interface and you would like to restore your Google results page back to its original two-column display, download this add-on.”
