During the 2010 E3 Expo which is annually held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Nintendo introduced its next portable gaming console, Nintendo 3DS with incredible 3D effects. The big news here is that such gaming system doesn’t need 3D glasses to show its 3D effects! But let’s se the new Nintendo 3DS in detail.

According to Nintendo, the new Nintendo 3DS is able to “3D  effects without the need for any special glasses.”  In fact, the console uses its frontal camera to track the viewer eyes. By tracking the user’s eyes the machine is able to  change the perspective in the game to make it look as if the player is looking into a 3D virtual space. Here is a list of its most important features:

  • Backwards compatibility with DS and DSi games.
  • Two LCD screens available: 3.53-inch (with a resolution of 800×240 pixels) top 3D screen and 3.02-inch (with a resulution of 320×240 pixels) bottom touch screen.
  • Wi-fi antenna.
  • Two cameras!!! They will allow you to take incredible 3D photos!!!
  • Gyroscope.
  • Accelerometer.
  • Technology to download and watch 3D movies.
  • Price and released date to be announced yet.
