One of the most annoying things about portable applications is their splash screen which greets you every time you open one of them! If you can not stand all this, I have got a nice hack which will let you turn off and get rid of the hated splash screen in a matter for seconds, for good!
- Click Start.
- In the Search Field, type Computer and press Enter.
- Now, double click the USB drive which contains the portable application. (It is labeled “Removable Disk”)
- Now browse to the following location: PortableApps\Your_Portable_Application\Other\Source
- In this folder you will find a special icon which has got .ini extension. Right-click it and Open it with your Notepad.
- The txt file will show you a lot of incomprehensible commands.
- Locate DisableSplashScreen=False. This command manages the splash screen of the portable application.
- Simply change False to True and the Splash screen will disappear next time you open the app!
- Save the file with the new change.
- Right-click it and copy the file.
- Now go to the following directory(folder): PortableApps\Your_Portable_Application and paste the .ini file right there!
