Free-ocr.com is an incredible web application. I have to admit it! This website embeds an online OCR which, in case you are wondering what the heck it is about, is nothing else than an Optical Character Recognition. Upload the file (PDF, JPG, GIF, TIFF or BMP) you wish to get the text from, hit the Send File button and you are done! The website will returns with a .txt file containing the text you wanted! To use this website you need no registration. A couple of side notes. You can not upload files that are larger than 2MB and wider or higher than 5000 pixels. Another limit is 10 image uploads per hour.
