windows 7If for any reason, after installing Windows 7 SP1 on your computer, you start experiencing issues, such as incompatibility problems related to your hardware or software, it is always a good practice to uninstall the Service Pack for good, maybe waiting for Microsoft to solve such issues  or for the hardware company to release more stable versions of their drivers. A very quick, reliable way to uninstall Windows 7 SP1 is to use the Command Prompt (DOS). The procedure is extremely fast and easy to achieve! Continue reading »

windows 7A few days ago I wrote how to download the much awaited Windows 7 Service Pack 1 beta version, directly from Microsoft.  The procedure to achieve the result was a little intricate, as you had to  register at the Technet Evaluation Center. If you don’t feel like going through the boring and annoying registration process (without speaking of the questionnaire you’ll have to fill in!!!) , but you wish to download the Service Pack right away, you have to know that the direct links to download it have been recently leaked on the Internet! Google Shortcuts

Almost with a regular  pace, Google is releasing interesting web services to make our Internet life easier than ever. In this way you won’t have to fumble among tricky and difficult to remember web addresses anymore. Everything will be tidily put in one place. Continue reading »

windows 7As you know, if you right-click any file on your computer you will gain access to a menu where, among the other options available, you will also be able to find the famous “Open with…” feature. Basically, it lets you choose , from a list of recommended applications, the one you wish to use to open your files having X extension. Now, if you don’t like this service because you think that it could cause major issue to your computer  (above all if you don’t have a clue on what application or software to use to open a certain file), I have a nice hack which will let you  turn off certain programs and applications from the “Open With” option in your right-click menu!
