In case your Office Word 2010 is giving you issues such as it gets stuck, it crashes all of a sudden, it becomes unresponsive etc, then you might want to try to run it in safe mode. What follows is a brief, easy tutorial on how to open your Word 2010 in safe mode and debug it.

  1. Press the CTRL key and then try to open a Word document.
  2. A dialog box will appear on your screen with the following message: “Word has detected that you are holding down the CTRL key. Do you want to Start Word in safe mode?”.
