wordHeaders and Footers in Microsoft Office Word (such as Word 2007 for example) let you place repetitive information at the top (header) and at the bottom (footer) of your Word documents. This is particularly useful especially if you have to print  multiple documents showing info, logo, address etc. of your company. This brief tutorial will show how to make and insert headers and footers in your Word Office.

  1. Open a new Word document.
  2. Click Insert.
  3. Under the Header and Footer ribbon, click the Header icon.
  4. A  Built-in window will open. Select your desired Header from the list.
  5. Edit the Title, Subtitle, Author.
  6. Now click the Close Header and Footer to have a better idea of the result.
  7. Click the Header and Footer ribbon again and click the Footer icon.
  8. A Built-in window will open. Select your desired Footer from the list.
  9. The cursor along with all the Footer info and fields will automatically be placed at  the end of the page.
  10. Edit the Footer.
  11. Click the Close Header and Footer.
  12. Edit your document.
