hotmail emailI bet this topic is going to interest a lot of users. In fact, it is very common to loose passwords. Unless you write them down on a secure place, this is something you will have to face sooner or later. This brief tutorial will show you how to recover any Hotmail  password you may have lost for different reasons. So, if you own a Windows Live Hotmail account or a Live Hotmail account, this post is definitely for you in case something “bad” happened to  your beloved emails and account !

The first thing you have to do is try to reset your password in order to get a new one. Follow these steps to reset your “forgotten password”:

  1. Go to  Reset Password page.
  2. From the menu, click the radio button.
  3. When you opened your Hotmail email account you also set up  your location and a special secret question which have to be used in cases like this. So, click the Use my location information and secret answer to verify my identity radio button.
  4. Also, when you opened your Hotmail account you also had to insert another email account. If you were a good boy and you did it, you can try to reset your old password by selecting Send password reset instructions to me in e-mail option.

As a final option, if the tutorial above didn’t work for you, you can always try to contact the Hotmail support to recover your password:

  1. Go to Account Password Recovery page.
  2. Click the Continue button a couple of times.
  3. Enter the email address you used to sign-up for your Hotmail account.
  4. Reply the questions the system will ask you.
  5. At this point the system will create a so called Windows Live Solution forum. It is a private forum where an operator will assist you. Such forum will stay open for 30 days.
