Google ChromeAs you know, Google Chrome is a rather minimalist and bare-bone browser. For example, if you want to export and backup Chrome history to a txt or html file,  you have to know that there is no easy way to achieve this result as there is not option for this. I have browsed the Internet rather extensively and, apart from a difficult trick available on Google Suport Forum which involves the use of a software called SQlite,  the situation is quite hopeless! There are different reasons why a user would need the Internet history available on the Google browser. The first one is that such a user needs to put this data on a USB flash drive and use it on another computer or  on another Google Chrome. Other times instead, the need to have a history log containing the  past searches is more practical. In fact, the same user  would like to see what kind of websites and blogs he surfed on a tidy list, an office document  (to make comparisons, for example) or on a more ordered way. So, it is a pity that the Google Chrome Team didn’t add such a wonderful feature which , I am more then sure, would make a lot of “Chromers” a lot happier. On my side, I have found out a couple of solutions which might be on some interest to the casual user. Continue reading »

The issue with it is that it is pretty concealed as if the Mozilla Team didn’t like you to mess with their browser! Let’s see how to “mess” with YOUR Firefox and have it the way you want! Windows Live Mail languageIf you just installed Windows Live Mail 2011 (WLM 2011), then you might be at loss on how to change the default language as there is no obvious way to achieve this result.  The need to change and modify the language on  Microsoft email suite is due to the fact that it automatically detects your own language on the base of your Internet IP and your computer  regional settings. So, in case you are in France or your computer default options are set for France , WLM 2011 will install the local language (french). Of course, residing on a certain country doesn’t make you speak its native language right away. That’s why you might need to set a different language. This brief tutorial will show you a couple of tips and tricks which will let you easily solve this issue. Continue reading »

Firefox TabsOne the latest Firefox features  lets you reopen and restore recently and accidentally closed tabs on the toolbar.  This may be especially useful in case of a crash of your browser or simply because you had to turn off Firefox in a hurry. Whatever the reason, such a great feature has got a big limitation. In fact, Firefox won’t restore more than a certain number of tabs. The reason behind this apparent senseless decision is due to the fact that if you have a lot of opened tabs, Firefox could crash  or require your Windows operating system a lot of resources to reopen them.
