This guide will show how to disable the force  to update feature embedded in Windows operating systems which constantly pushes you to download and install the latest Microsoft chat client  version (MSN). The reason why nobody wants to switch to WLM2011 is that such a version is full of annoying bugs and issues such as the nickname which can not be changed, or contacts which always appear offline, for example. However, Microsoft aware of this problem has started showing kind of alerts on Windows Vista and Windows 7 running Windows Live Essentials 2009. Basically, Microsoft will prompt those users who have not upgraded Windows Live Essentials 2009 to update to the latest 2011! facebook mastheadRecently, there is a lot of stir on the Internet due to the elusive  “Facebook Masthead” term. Where can you find Facebook Masthead? Well, before talking about where, I think we should talk about what this term means!  The whole story started with the movie “The Social Network” which spins around the most famous social network on the Internet: Facebook. If you haven’t watched the movie and wish to know more, read this Wikipedia article. In the movie there are a lot of references to this rather unknown term. Technically speaking a Masthead is a list, found on the editorial page of a newspaper or magazine which lists the publisher, editorial board, advertising rates, etc. On Facebook there is an interesting page, which almost nobody knows, which contains interesting information about the founder, co-founders, factsheets, executives, a time line with all the important facts and occurrences happened during Facebook’s life and other technical, interesting details! online musicThere are a lot of ways to listen to and play any song you want online, without any restriction and for free! I am talking about legal ways, legal websites and programs which give you the great opportunity to  listen to (no download allowed…officially) your favorite songs, on demand. All you have to do is type the song’s title or the singer’s name on the search box and the song will start automatically. The whole trick behind these “too-good-to-be-true” websites and free software is called online streaming. A streaming provider or a streaming network converts any MP3, wma file to a streaming flux which is then received, reassembled at the receiver and played a second or two later. The caveat here is that you are not allowed to own the song or the file itself (you should buy it). You are only allowed to listen to it!  Let’s see where to play any favorite song you want instantly and for free! Continue reading »

Stop Internet Access to programsIf you have installed a lot of applications on your computer,  you might wish to stop and block some programs from accessing the Internet on your Windows 7 operating system.
