This guide will show you how to remove Stuxnet worm rootkit (W32.Stuxnet) from your Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP computers and USB drives. Before starting I would like to spend a couple of words about such a worm/virus. It has been around on the Internet for some time, but recently it looks like there has been a fresh outbreak which has caused a lot of issues and problems to companies and regular users. Stuxnet Worm has been primarly designed to spread via USB drives (removable medias) by exploiting a vulnerability called Microsoft Windows Shortcut ‘LNK’ Files Automatic File Execution (Shortcut “LNK/PIF”) which is a reference to a local file, a kind of shortcut which, if clicked or automatically executed, will run the files it refers to. These “shortcuts” (if available on the USB drive) are used by the worm to automatically execute and install malware on the computer. Once Stuxnet virus has managed to breach a system, it will use it to launch other attacks to other machines which are on the same network. After that it will also try to gain total control and admin privileges over those PCs. Such a worm is also know as: Troj/Stuxnet-A, W32/Stuxnet-B, Trojan-Dropper:W32/Stuxnet, WORM_STUXNET.A. Let’s see how to delete Stuxnet trojan from computer thanks to an easy manual procedure. Continue reading »

How many times have you ask this to yourself? Is it possible to know who is viewing and reading your Facebook Profile thanks to a profile tracker, for example? Can people know if I am viewing their Facebook profile? These are questions my readers ask me a lot of times. I have to tell you the truth, I never reply to this kind of questions because the reply is so obvious that I think such people do not deserve any reply. However, recently these questions got revamped and I am getting at least four of five of them referring to this ” insane” possibility. So, let me clarify a couple of things about Facebook and its policy that maybe you didn’t know about. Continue reading »

If you want to download Windows Explorer.exe (user shell) for your Windows 7, Windows Vista and XP operating system you have to know that your search could be quite hard, actually! In fact, after more than an hour search, I have not managed to find it on the Internet. This is due to the very nature of the executable file which is an important part of the operating system itself. In fact, explorer.exe is a file manager, a kind of file browser which is INCLUDED in Windows operating systems from Windows 95 onward. Such a file includes a big variety of files which let the system shows icons, Start menu, taskbar etc. The very complicated nature of such a file make it impossible to copy it from any Windows system and upload it online. Unfortunately, there are a lot of situations which require you to replace or repair explorer.exe. A virus could have deleted it, thus preventing Windows to show icons on the desktop, for example. Other times instead, after an internal error it might become corrupted all of a sudden. So, let’s see where we can get explorer.exe and make Windows run smoothly again! Continue reading »

If you don’t know what I am talking about you have to know that sometimes blocking unwanted third party cookies with the right tool such as a tracking cookie removal, for example, can be really important for you and your privacy! In fact, all websites (including your most cherished Digg, Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Yahoo websites) spy you by secretly adding on your computer tracking cookies and supercookies which record all your habits while you surf the Internet! Even your Google Chrome spies you, every now and then to tell you the truth, but well, even other browsers do the same! This “bad habit” is rather spred on the Internet. However, if you are aware of this issue you should also know that there are kind of countermeasures to protect you from these cookies. A special and rather unknown extension on Google Chrome can even block those cookies from knowing a little too much about your private life! Continue reading »

A couple of users have asked me where they can find a ODT Editor Online able to read and edit such special documents online. Files with ODT extension are word processing (text) documents created by Open Document Format for Office Applications (also known as OpenDocument or ODF such as Open Office and Star Office, for example). After having surfed the Internet for a hour, I have come to the conclusion that at the time writing there is not any online tool able to edit ODT. However I have found a nice website which offers an online tool able to convert any file to a multitude of file extensions, including the ODT extension. I have also found a couple of interesting free applications which will let you edit, modify and show any ODT file in a very easy way. Let’s see together where to download such free applications and sorry guys…no online editor available for you so far! Continue reading »
