Windows live messenger and gmailWindows Live Messenger 2011 and older versions give you (via your passport.net account)   the opportunity to read your Gmail emails without actually leaving the Messenger interface. This is especially useful in those cases where you don’t want to terminate a chat or the user you are chatting with just sent you an email. Such a feature, like I told you before, is also available on previous, old Windows Live Messengers, but despite this a lot of users still do not know about it! Funny how people get stuck on criticizing about the new features available on WLM2011 instead of learning what the Microsoft chat interface can offer you! However, in this article I will show you how to easily read your email (not only those belonging to your Gmail account) on Live Messenger (msn) in a couple of steps. Continue reading »

delete Windows 7 sp backupsThis brief post will show you how to remove and clean your Windows 7 from  backup files and other leftovers created during the installation of Service Packs such as SP1, SP2, RTM etc. In fact, you have to know that while installing a Service Pack , Windows 7 will automatically create a restore point. (a kind of system snapshot containing a lot of files). Basically, it will backup all of your system files, just in case you need to restore your operating system later. (also see: remove Sp1 backups from Vista) All these files and backups will be stored somewhere on your hard disk. Because of this your computer might experience a low performance (slow computer) and, undoubtedly, you will have less space for your personale and private stuff. Let’ see how to fix this thanks to a simple trick! Continue reading »

turn off Google best matches

This tutorial will show  how to disable and turn off the “Best Matches” box from Google as it seems to be quite annoying to a lot of users. After a  search on Google,  users are reporting the appearance of a new  “box” on the bottom right corner of the Google page. On such a box, (Best Matches For…)  users will be able to see the keyword they used in the search with some other “suggestions” which  match their keyword. Apparently, the Best Match box appeared around October-November 2010 without any intervention from the user. Let’s see how to solve this issue and switch off the feature thanks to a nice trick! incompatible software on Windows 7It is quite common to install and remove (most of the time in a hurry) incompatible software or third-party applications on your Windows operating system (Windows 7). A lot of utilities and applications are written for old Windows XP and Vista operating systems and a large part of  users need them to play, work, write, watch etc. The well-known “compatibility Mode” feature available on the latest Windows doesn’t always manage to solve incompatibility issues and, as a consequence, you computer might become sluggish, Windows Explorer could stop working , the computer might return you with the dreaded Blu Screen of Death etc. That’s why it is extremely important to know what to do before installing such old software in case something goes wrong. This tutorial will show how to uninstall corrupted software manually and how to make sure that your system will work as well and smooth as before. For a complete list of compatible software, please visit this useful Windows 7 Compatibility Center webpage and know in advance what you are going to install on your computer! Continue reading »

skip cpaleadA lot of webmasters use CpaLead surveys on their blogs and websites to earn money. Recently, I found a nice hack,  a  CpaLead bypass which will skip the annoying surveys  which  look like scam more than anything else, to me! If you are not familiar with what I am talking about, you have to know that CpaLead is a company which “promises” astounding earnings to bloggers. The only thing they will have to do is place a code, a script to be exact, which will interpose special ads between the website and the readers. Such  ads are nothing else than surveys that users will have to complete (they are forced to…) in order to gain access to the website content. This will entitle the webmaster to earn some money (cpa=Cost per Action). It is useless to say that such surveys are quite, quite irritating and, as far as I am concern, every time I find a blog using this technique to get money, I will avoid it right away as it belongs to a blogger without any respect for his readers! So let’s see how to disable the script in a couple of easy steps! Continue reading »
