gmail can't access emailA lot of Google Chrome users are experiencing issues after updating their Google browser. Basically, they complain that they can’t access their email accounts anymore (such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail etc.). The errors they get when trying to login their email account are different such as: “This webpage is not available”,”Error occured: This webpage has a redirect loop” , “Request-URI Too Large”  or “Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error”. However, the result is just they same. Users can not access and login their email account anymore. Despite it is quite hard to find the exact issue that caused the errors above, it looks like some kind of browser incompatibility or temporary files and cookies expiration problem  might be the cause. What follows is a list of solution I have managed on different forums.  Continue reading »

Download Google Art Project

If you have already visited Google Art Project, you should know that there is not way to download any painting or artwork. In fact, Google has protected all the material available on Google Street Imagery  which as stated in the Google Art Project faq, is copyrighted and owned by the museums themselves. As a consequence, if you try to right-click any artwork, you won’t be able to find the familiar menu containing the well-known “Save as…” option. This is also due to the fact that Google Street Imagery uses Flash technology so that what you see on the screen are not “regular” pictures and photos. In this guide I will show you how to download such material and save it locally on your computer. To solve the issue, we will take a  “screenshot” of the artwork by using a free Firefox addon. Please note that the goal of this guide is to show you how it is possible to capture a “flash image” when right click and regular other methods to save files locally do not work. You are not allowed to keep such material on your computer. Continue reading »

open multiple=If you work with multiple programs at once you know how boring is to run and launch them one by one! In fact, you need to find them among the other applications you have installed on your Windows 7 or Vista, click their  icons and wait for them to open. This operation is quite consuming if you ask me! That’s why you  need a special shortcut (batch file) able to start all of them in one click! The trick I am going to show you will let you achieve a great, time saving result. Opening numerous applications in a matter of a couple seconds!  Stop browsing your computer folders, stop looking for the right icon. Manage everything from the same place. Continue reading »

Google Art Project tricks

Google has recently released the interesting Google Art Project website.  Google Art Project is an online, global museum. It contains a big, huge online compilation of thousands of artworks from Galleries scattered all over the world. You can also “navigate” such galleries thanks to a navigation system which is similar to other, most famous Google web-utilities such as Google Earth and Google Maps, for example. Google Art Projct is rather plain and simple to use and apparently there are not a lot of options to play with. However, as no manual has been written yet, the regular user may need useful tricks which will surely help him find hidden features he might not be aware of! Continue reading »

remove antivirus.NETThis guide will show you how to uninstall, get rid of and remove a fake antivirus called Antivirus.NET from your computer. Such software is a total scam, a “scareware” (such as Antivirus Action and Antivirus System Tool, for example)   whose goal is to make you think that it is a legitimate, good antivirus and that your Windows 7, Vista or Windows XP is infected by spyware and viruses. Once you have installed it on your computer, Antivitus.NET will automatically load every time you boot the machine. At this this point it will perform a fake, full scan of  the PC. Of course, the result will be that your computer is infected with different kinds of malware and that, in order to get rid of them, you need to buy the full version of the software. To convince you that your computer is really infected, Antivirus.NET will show you scareware, fake warnings (pop-ups) such as “Windows Security alert Windows reports that computer is infected. Antivirus software helps to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. Click here for the scan your computer. Your system might be at risk now.” At the time writing there is no an ad-hoc Free Antivirus. NET removal tool. So, the only way you have got to get rid of it is to follow the procedure available in this guide. I have made it as simple as possible. So let’s see how to remove Antivirus.NET for good! windows 7 previewIf you have got a lot of documents and files (including videos, pictures, music etc.) on your Windows 7, you might need a fast way to and look for the right file without opening it. A kind of preview button that, once clicked will let you see what the file contains right away, immediately. In fact, if you do not remember the name of a file, browsing among hundreds, thousands of them might be boring and annoying. Did you know know that Windows 7 has got a handy preview pane which will let you shorten the amount of time you spend looking for stuff on your computer? Continue reading »

convert color photos

If you have new, bright, coloured pictures and wish to turn and convert them to old fashioned, black and white photos and prints, I have recently found an interesting, free application which can be of some use to you! Nowadays, majority of us use digital cameras which are able to take wonderful HD, coloured pictures of suggestive landscapes and people. However, if you like the old, good days where  pictures where in black and white and people used sketches to fix faces and nature objects, then you will need to use special software able to make look older and age your recent photos. turn off aliasThis is a small appendix to my other post about Hotmail Aliases. In this guide I will show you how to turn off and delete an Hotmail alias so that nobody will never, ever be able to send you any email to your Hotmail account. In case you missed my previous post about this new Hotmail feature, I would like to remind you that Hotmail aliases hide and protect your original Hotmail account so that the person who write back to you won’t be able to know the original and default email address. The caveat here is that if you subscribed to some spammy websites your original Hotmail account will become clogged with spam to delete (even though they will be stored in a special folder as an option). Let’s see howo to remove aliases from your Hotmail account. Continue reading »
