This article will show you how you can retrieve your AOL (American On Line) emails from any email client that supports SMTP settings (as well as POP3 settings, of course). The procedure is really easy and doesn’t require any special skill (see Hotmail POP3 settings). The reason why a lot of users decide to “download” their emails on email clients such Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook is really simple. If you don’t have a lot of time, because for example you have to catch a plane, you can not sit down and read all of your emails using the traditional webmail client. You rather want to download all your emails to your computer and read them later while you are on the plane, train, bus etc using your small laptop or iPad. This guide will show you how to set any email client using SMTP and POP3 authenitication.

SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes
AOL POP3 Settings
