schedule gmail emailsIf you are an inattentive guy then you are going to love this extension/addon for Google Chrome and Firefox. At the time writing Google Gmail doesn’t give you any chance to schedule emails in order to be sent later at a specific time or later day (just see all the complains made on this Gmail Help forum page). Just image this scenario. You are in a hurry when all of a sudden you get an email on your cell phone. But hey! It is you! In fact, a month earlier you scheduled an email to be sent right today to remind you that  you are supposed to attend that important meeting you have just forgotten about. You could even daily or monthly schedule certain emails so that you will be reminded of an important date/event on a daily basis. Let’s see what extension is able to make such wonders. internet explorer 9Internet Explorer 9 has increased user security by enhancing a feature called SmartScreen Filter that basically checks the file you are downloading against a list of reputable and trusted files available on the Internet. The downside of this security feature is that it will try to forbid you to install the application if it is not trusted or there are little information and “footprint” about it.  To do that, the SmartScreen Filter will hide the Run command from the list of options available once you double-click the .exe application from the Internet Explorer ” View Downloads” window. Let’s see how to solve this issue and safely install any “untrusted” application on your computer using Internet Explorer 9. Continue reading »

ie9 autocompleteOne of the most interesting and annoying features in Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) is the autocomplete (suggest bar) search bar that  automatically suggests those  URLs which are close to the website you are typing the address of. Such a auto-complete  address bar will show you a list (history) of all the previous searches you have performed, your favorites (bookmark) as well as all those websites and blogs you have previously visited. The autocomplete Web address bar is not a new feature as it existed in old Internet Explorer versions. However, in this latest IE9 it has been enhanced and improved. The downside of it is that it might create some embarrassment while typing an URL thus posing a threat to your privacy. This brief tutorial will show you how to turn it off and delete its history database from all its entries. Continue reading »
