ChromeCookiesView

As you know, whenever you visit a blog or a website, a cookie is dropped in your browser, in your Google Chrome. A web cookie (or browser cookie)  is a piece of data (text in this case) that collects your web preferences in your browser. Other times instead, cookies spy your Internet habits in order to serve you targeted ads etc. However, it has to be said that not all cookies are bad and that’s why you should be able to actively manage and view them in order to decide if you want to keep or delete them. In the past I have written about a nice Google Chrome extension able to block cookies, however such extension didn’t provide a lot of information and didn’t let you view stored cookies in a complete and exhaustive way. So, let’s see how to know more about web cookies, read the information they contain and what they send to websites. Continue reading »

incremental backupsIf you have got a Gmail account, you know only too well how important is to perform regular backups of your emails regularly. The issue is that there are not a lot of solutions in case you want to perform incremental Gmail backups online. Incremental backups are nothing else than multiple backups that are  based on the differences in those data. I have already written on how to backup your Gmail  emails, however that solution was not optimal as you had to download everything down on your computer. In fact, what would happen if you computer crashed? The easy solution is to automatically backup everything online. Something like “setup and forget about it”, so that your emails will be automatically saved even if …you forget about them.  Continue reading »

The result is pretty obvious. My Gmail is cluttered,  full of junk, of useless email addresses I don’t even remember to who they belong to! A couple of days ago, Google introduced a much awaited option on Gmail. From now on, you will be able to turn off the auto add to contact feature in your Gmail account. Let’s see how to achieve this result thanks to a couple of easy steps. Experience a clean, tidy and slimmer Gmail contact list!  Continue reading »
